Date Night

Our dates are always wildly adventurous, so I know you can't wait to hear all about our latest night out. We considered, rock wall climbing--too expensive, a movie--it always seems hard to justify spending that much money to sit in a smelly room for two hours (the smell of popcorn makes me want to throw up), our friend's brother's concert--this would have been totally cool and unexpected for us, but no, my mother-in-law would have had the kids too late, the bookstore--always a favorite of mine, but Walter wasn't down with that, Starbucks to play a game--another favorite, but we made up some excuse about being too tired. Instead, hold on to the seat of your pants. We went to the same restaurant we always go to, and then went to Bed Bath and Beyond.

We sat down at our table and quickly noticed the odd choice of music for the evening. I'm pretty sure someone was having an adult obsession with Disney, because it sounded like a cross between the soundtrack to Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Not cool, okay. Leave your Disney music at home, please. At least we had a good laugh about it, but we didn't hang around after we were done eating.

Our date really got started when we arrived at Bed Bath and Beyond. Wow, that store has so much stuff packed in to such a small space. We were walking around, looking at lamps, and other odds and ends, when we stumbled across three demo massage chairs in the middle of the aisle. How could anyone pass those up? Don't worry, we took our time and tested every feature that each chair had to offer. Occasionally an employee would walk by and ask if we needed help. Help? Does it look like we need help? We're in the middle of a couples' massage here. Walk on!

After we were sufficiently massaged, we went home and finished Season 4 of Damages. What better way than to the end the night with Patty and Ellen staring each other down.

I hope your date nights are equally as adventurous.
